Turkish TV dramas see wave of cast departures and replacements

Several Turkish television series are undergoing notable cast changes ahead of upcoming seasons. TRT’s digital drama Mahir, starring Furkan Palalı as the titular character, is still in pre‑production with details on its crime‑thriller plot and filming schedule being released. Meanwhile, the long‑running series Gönül Dağı will enter its seventh season without lead actress Hazal Çağlar, and actor Sercan Badur, who played Çetin Kaya, is also exiting the show.

The NOW‑produced series Sevdam Karadeniz has experienced multiple lead‑role swaps; Meltem Akçöl and Erdem Adilce are now confirmed as the main pair, while actress Ayşen Sezerel recently left the project and will be replaced by Aslı İçözü. In addition, the popular series Kızılcık Şerbeti faces the departure of actress Feyza Civelek, who played Nilay, as the show prepares for its fifth season.

These changes reflect a broader trend of casting turnover across Turkish drama productions as they gear up for new seasons and storylines.
