GNR locates man and child after kidnapping and road collision in Bragança

The National Republican Guard (GNR) has located a man and his three-year-old daughter in Bragança following a kidnapping and a violent public disturbance. The father reportedly fled with the child from Macedo de Cavaleiros, leading to a confrontation near the Seara junction close to the A4 motorway.

The incident involved a clash between three light vehicles, resulting in multiple collisions, vehicle skids, and attempted run-overs. Emergency services reported seven injuries, including one woman approximately 50 years old who sustained serious injuries and had to be extracted from her vehicle. Six other victims suffered minor injuries.

Both the father and the child were found in good health and were taken to the GNR station in Bragança. The case has been handed over to the Judiciary Police (Polícia Judiciária) for further investigation.
