Goiás inaugurates GO-460 highway paving to boost regional logistics

Governor Daniel Vilela has inaugurated the paving of the GO-460 highway, a project involving 12.94 kilometers of asphalt between São Patrício and the GO-156 junction in Diolândia. The R$ 54.5 million investment, funded by the State Infrastructure Fund (Fundeinfra), has effectively halved the road distance between Morro Agudo and Ceres from 120 kilometers to approximately 60 kilometers.

The project included the application of Double Surface Treatment (TSD) and the construction of a 50.6-meter bridge over the Ribeirão Olhos d’Água. This new connection is expected to optimize the transport of grains, cattle, and agricultural inputs, benefiting the agricultural and sugarcane industries in the Vale do São Patrício and Vale do Araguaia regions.

Eliane Simonini, president of the Goiana Agency for Infrastructure and Transport (Goinfra), confirmed that the works were completed within the announced timeframe, meeting long-standing demands from local producers and municipalities.
