Go-around maneuver at Vitória Airport captured on video

On 31 July 2026 a commercial aircraft aborted its landing attempt at Vitória Airport in Espírito Santo, Brazil, and performed a go‑around. The pilots increased engine thrust, climbed back to altitude and prepared for another approach, a standard procedure when conditions are deemed unsuitable for landing.

The incident was recorded by videomaker Dione Rosa, who was eating at a nearby shopping centre. His footage spread on social media and was later praised by the aircraft’s pilot. No injuries were reported and the crew followed established protocols before attempting a subsequent landing once conditions improved.
