Go Asia recalls bamboo shoots due to BPA migration

Go Asia is recalling Royal Orient brand bamboo shoots due to the detected migration of Bisphenol A (BPA) from the internal coating of the metal cans into the food. The affected products are the ‘STRIPS’ and ‘SLICES’ varieties, sold in 567-gram cans with a best-before date of 29.09.2028 and barcode 8 719497 398195.

The recall affects multiple German states, including Berlin, Bavaria, Hamburg, Hessen, North Rhine-Westphalia, and others. The importer is Asia Express Food B.V. based in the Netherlands, while the distributors include Go Asia GmbH and Orient Master GmbH.

Consumers are advised not to consume the affected bamboo shoots. The products can be returned to any Go Asia branch for a full refund of the purchase price.
