Go Wine celebrates 20 years of wine culture event in Rome

The Go Wine association is celebrating 20 years of its “Buono…non lo conoscevo!” event in Rome. Originally established in 2006 to promote the identity of the national association founded in Alba, Piedmont, the initiative focuses on promoting wine culture and enotourism.

The event specifically highlights indigenous grape varieties, aiming to protect and value the work of viticulturists by showcasing rare and lesser-known grapes that express the unique link between territory and product. What began as a local Roman event in September has evolved over the last decade into a tour across major Italian cities.

The upcoming celebration in Rome will take place at the Hotel Palatino on via Cavour, featuring numerous wineries and a variety of grape varieties. The initiative seeks to reaffirm Italy's viticultural heritage and its social value as a witness to the history and civilization of various Italian regions.
