Woo-Suk Go designated for assignment by Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins have designated pitcher Woo-Suk Go for assignment (DFA) to make room on their 40-man roster for outfielder prospect Walker Jenkins. This move follows Go's recent struggles in the minor leagues and a brief stint in the Major Leagues.

After joining the Twins via trade in July, Go appeared in three MLB games, recording an ERA of 9.00 over four innings. His transition to the Twins' Triple-A affiliate was marked by difficulty, including an eight-game suspension for a violation regarding foreign substances. In Triple-A, he struggled with a 12.54 ERA and high walk rates.

Go, a former standout closer for the LG Twins in the KBO, has faced multiple roster challenges since moving to the United States. Following this DFA, he will be placed on waivers. If no other team claims him, he may be assigned to the minor leagues or opt for free agency.
