Goa-based drug supplier arrested in Hyderabad trafficking probe

Authorities in Telangana have arrested Custodio Fernandes, also known as Kristy, in Goa for his alleged involvement in a drug trafficking network connecting Goa and Hyderabad. The arrest was conducted through a joint operation involving the Telangana EAGLE Force, the Hyderabad Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), and the Hyderabad City Police.

The investigation began following the May 9 arrest of R Keshav Raj Singh by Panjagutta Police, who was caught attempting to sell MDMA and charas. During questioning, Singh reportedly admitted to procuring the substances from Fernandes in Goa.

Financial analysis has uncovered approximately Rs 48.4 lakh in bank credits linked to the investigation. Police suspect that associates of Fernandes traveled to Hyderabad to deliver drugs and collect cash, which was then deposited into accounts linked to Fernandes via ATMs. Investigators are currently verifying the suspected links of more than 25 Telangana residents to the network and scrutinizing transactions to trace the flow of funds.
