Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Calls for Innovation in Education

On July 28, 2026, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant addressed the programme “Mann Ki Baat to Viksit Bharat – Empowering Swayampurna Goa Through Knowledge and Innovation” at the Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce in Sankhali, co‑hosted with Ravindra Bhavan. He urged students to look beyond textbooks, embrace innovation and nurture curiosity.

Sawant highlighted the role of state initiatives such as Startup Goa, Swayampurna Goa and skill‑development programmes, emphasizing how students, scientists, entrepreneurs, farmers and artists together drive nation‑building. He also recalled earlier welfare measures aimed at the fishing sector and the National Fisheries Day event that gathered over a thousand fishers and aquaculture entrepreneurs.
