Goa is scheduled to host India’s first Edge City, a three-week global pop-up village located in Mandrem, North Goa. Running from October 11 to November 1, 2026, the initiative aims to bring together approximately 800 participants, including founders, scientists, engineers, investors, and researchers from India and over 60 other countries.
The program is designed to strengthen Goa’s technology and startup ecosystem while positioning the region as a creative capital. Through collaborative workspaces, hackathons, workshops, and research initiatives, the event seeks to foster innovation across science, technology, culture, and entrepreneurship.
Minister for Tourism, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Rohan Khaunte, stated that the goal is to attract a mix of talent, investment, and partnerships to enrich the local economy while respecting the region's culture and environment.
