Goalkeeper Coach Claudio Filippi Departs AC Milan After One Season

Claudio Filippi, the goalkeeper coach who worked with Massimiliano Allegri’s staff at AC Milan, announced his departure after just one year. In an Instagram post he wrote, “After just one year, my experience at AC Milan comes to an end. It’s a glorious club … with Milanello … a legendary workplace,” and thanked the club’s staff and the goalkeepers Mike Maignan, Pietro, Lorenzo and Matteo.

Milan’s management has cleared the entire sporting area in preparation for a major restructuring following Allegri’s exit. Filippi’s work last season was credited with helping Mike Maignan regain form, and observers are speculating whether he will follow Allegri to his next appointment at Napoli.
