Goalkeeper expert analyzes Elia Caprile and Mandas after Lazio-Cagliari match

Goalkeeper trainer Riccardo Caprai has provided technical analysis of the goalkeepers involved in the Lazio-Cagliari match. Speaking to RadioSei, Caprai evaluated the performances of both Elia Caprile and Mandas.

Regarding Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile, Caprai praised his technical qualities, describing him as a “clean, reactive” goalkeeper who defends the goal well. However, he suggested that Caprile needs to test himself in a higher-pressure environment or a more significant club to continue his professional growth.

On Lazio goalkeeper Mandas, Caprai noted that while calling the goal conceded to Nzola a direct error might be excessive, there were technical details that could have been improved. He specifically criticized Mandas for moving too early toward the cross, suggesting that the goalkeeper should have prioritized covering the near post instead of anticipating the second post area.
