Goalkeeper Răzvan Sava signs four‑year deal with Universitatea Craiova

Romanian goalkeeper Răzvan Sava has joined Universitatea Craiova on a four‑year contract after Udinese agreed to his transfer. The 23‑year‑old, valued at around €2.5 million by Transfermarkt, will become the club’s first‑choice keeper following a medical examination.

The move includes an initial loan until summer 2027 with a clause that can trigger a permanent transfer. Sava arrives from Udinese after playing for several Italian youth sides and previously for CFR Cluj, where he won the 2022 Romanian league title. Club owner Mihai Rotaru confirmed the deal and highlighted the financial arrangement, noting Udinese will cover part of the salary during the loan period.

Sava’s previous senior experience includes 48 SuperLiga matches for CFR Cluj, conceding 40 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets. He replaces other goalkeepers on the Craiova roster, including Laurențiu Popescu and the injured Ukrainian Pavlo Isenko.
