Goallections launches Italy's first community marketplace for football shirts
Patrizio Altieri founded Goallections, turning a Facebook group of more than 19,000 football‑shirt collectors into Italy's first community marketplace dedicated to match‑worn and store jerseys. The platform, launched in August 2026, hosts over 2,000 shirts, including iconic pieces such as Jorge Campos' 1994 World Cup kit and David Platt's Bari shirt. Advisors include Alex Ballato of Hellodì, while Arcangelo Ronco, Cristiano Carriero and Filippo Delprete support the venture.
Goallections positions the shirts as cultural artifacts, targeting Millennials and Gen Z collectors who value authenticity, identity and sustainability. It aims to expand into other sports memorabilia and promote second‑hand sportswear as an eco‑friendly alternative. The global market for football shirts was valued at $33.6 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $271.2 billion by 2034, underscoring the sector’s rapid growth.
