Goally cattle breeding property listed in Mullaley district
Goally is a 1,687-hectare (4,169-acre) grazing property located in the Mullaley district, 21km west of Mullaley. Currently operating as a cattle breeding enterprise, the land features a mix of basalt and sandy loam soils with elevations ranging from 400 to 520 metres above sea level.
The property consists of various terrain types, including 500 hectares of gently sloping mixed grazing areas with potential for arable use, 397 hectares of medium density timbered grazing, and 790 hectares of heavily timbered country. The central, southern, and eastern sections are predominantly open and undulating, while the northern and western boundaries are heavily timbered.
Infrastructure includes more than 20 main paddocks serviced by a laneway system, two sets of cattle yards, a shearing shed, and an older workshop. Water is supplied via solar-powered bores from the Garrawilla Spring and a second solar-powered bore that feeds elevated tanks and troughs, supplemented by earth dams and an average annual rainfall of 625mm.
