Goce Delchev University sees 1,150 applicants in first enrollment round
Goce Delchev University (UGD) in Štip has concluded the first enrollment phase for the 2026-2027 academic year. Approximately 1,150 candidates applied for programs taught in Macedonian, representing over 70 percent of the university's total state quota.
Vice-Rector for Teaching, Sasho Koceski, reported that the Faculty of Medical Sciences continues to see the highest demand. Specifically, the General Medicine and Dental Medicine programs reached full capacity during this first round, with only a few spots remaining for Pharmacy. Other areas showing increased interest include economics, law, tourism, business logistics, informatics, and natural sciences.
Preliminary results are scheduled for release on August 26. Candidates may submit appeals on August 27, with final ranking lists and admission decisions to be published on August 31. The enrollment period for admitted students will take place from September 1 to September 3.
