God Behind Bars named inaugural recipient of GMA Community Impact Award

The Gospel Music Association (GMA) has announced the inaugural recipient of its new Community Impact Award for Peace & Purpose. The award, presented by Jesus Calling, will debut at the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards.

God Behind Bars has been named the first recipient of this honor. The organization focuses on providing faith-based support, worship, and discipleship to incarcerated individuals and their families in the United States to help break cycles of addiction and prepare them for life after prison. Emmy Award-winning television personality Julie Chen Moonves is scheduled to introduce and present the award.

The 57th Annual Dove Awards will take place on October 6 in Nashville, Tennessee, featuring performances by artists such as Tauren Wells, Brandon Lake, and Lauren Daigle.
