Sony unveils God of War Laufey on PS5, starring new heroine Fey

Sony’s Santa Monica Studio announced the next installment of the God of War franchise, God of War Laufey, during a State of Play livestream. A 20‑minute gameplay trailer revealed that the game will close the Norse trilogy and introduce Fey (also called Faye) as the playable protagonist, shifting focus away from Kratos and Atreus. The story takes place in the “Everywhen”, a realm between worlds, and expands the series’ mythology by featuring deities from Mongol and Egyptian pantheons.

Director Ariel Lawrence told GamesRadar, “I hope to convince the skeptics in the future,” and emphasized that each fan has a personal connection to the series. Sony confirmed the title will be exclusive to PS5 and PS5 Pro, with no release date announced yet.
