God of War Laufey rumors suggest Tyr's return

Speculation regarding the return of the character Tyr in the upcoming title ‘God of War Laufey’ has intensified following comments from voice actor Diogo Morgado. During a YouTube livestream reacting to a Sony State of Play event, Morgado, who provides the Portuguese voice for Tyr, alluded to strict non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). He noted how difficult it was to ‘bite his tongue’ to avoid revealing information, which fans interpret as a confirmation of the character's involvement.

These comments support long-standing rumors that Tyr may serve as a second playable character alongside the protagonist, Faye. Previous leaks, which accurately predicted specific details such as the presence of companions like Phranque and Rue, had suggested a gameplay mechanic involving both characters.

‘God of War Laufey’ is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027. The game is set to follow Faye in a realm known as the ‘Everywhen’ following the events of the 2018 reboot.
