God of War: Laufey confirmed for physical disc release in 2027 before Sony ends disc production

Santa Monica Studio announced via its official channels and during a State of Play broadcast that the upcoming God of War title, Laufey, will be released on a physical disc for PlayStation 5.

The confirmation means the game must launch before Sony’s scheduled cessation of new‑game disc manufacturing in January 2028. Analysts therefore expect a 2027 release window, most likely in the early part of the year.
