God of War Laufey unveiled, featuring Faye as lead and dropping Kratos

Sony announced the new installment "God of War Laufey" during its June State of Play. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and has no confirmed launch date. It shifts the series' focus to Faye—also called Laufey—a frost‑giant warrior who is Kratos's second wife and Atreus's mother, instead of the long‑standing protagonist Kratos.
