Godiva expands Kansai presence with new store format and renovations
Godiva Japan is expanding its retail presence in the Kansai region through store renovations and the introduction of a new shopping concept.
The Godiva Kobe Sannomiya Sanchika store has temporarily closed for renovations as of September 14, 2026. The location is scheduled to reopen on October 23, 2026. This renovation coincides with the brand's 100th anniversary year since its founding in Brussels.
Additionally, Godiva will open a new style store at Namba CITY in Osaka on September 30, 2026. This marks the first time the “My Style Godiva” concept has been introduced in the Kansai area. The new format focuses on a personalized experience, featuring “Joyful Mix,” a weight-based selection service where customers can choose from 18 types of chocolate and four types of baked goods. The store will also offer customizable Chocolixir drinks and soft serve with various toppings and specialized packaging options.
