Godolphin horses Notable Speech and El Cordobes prepare for Breeders’ Cup

Trainer Charlie Appleby has arrived at Keeneland to prepare Godolphin runners Notable Speech and El Cordobes for the upcoming Breeders’ Cup. Notable Speech, the defending Breeders’ Cup Mile champion, enters his 20th and final career start as a likely favorite. Appleby noted the horse is in peak fitness following recent victories at York and Woodbine.

Jockey and Godolphin work rider Kieren Fallon described Notable Speech as a “dream ride” due to his soundness and ability to travel, noting that fast ground should suit the European runner. However, Fallon expressed support for Lake Forest, ridden by his son Cieren, suggesting the gap between the two horses is smaller than perceived.
