Godox introduces MA2 Flexible Macro Twin Light for macro photography
Godox has announced the MA2 Flexible Macro Twin Light, a hot-shoe mounted lighting solution specifically designed to address the challenges of macro photography. The system utilizes two independent flexible arms that allow photographers to adjust light positioning without moving the camera or the subject, helping to maintain precise compositions.
The MA2 is an LED-based system featuring A/B dual-channel control, enabling each side to be adjusted independently. It offers adjustable color temperatures ranging from 2800K to 6500K and power levels from 1 to 100 percent. The LEDs have a TLCI rating of 97 and a CRI of 96, making them suitable for both photography and video applications.
While the built-in LEDs can serve as primary light, modeling lamps, or fill light, the system is designed to work alongside compatible Godox compact flashes. Users can magnetically mount separate flash units to the flexible arms to create more expansive setups, though the total load on each arm must not exceed 90 grams. The device includes a built-in rechargeable battery providing up to 3.3 hours of runtime at full output.
