Godoy Cruz, Independiente win reserve matches in Argentine league

Godoy Cruz's reserve side secured a 2‑0 away victory over Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in the Torneo Proyección Apertura. Joaquín Uroz opened the scoring in the 24th minute and Benjamín Rojas added a second in the 50th to seal the win.

Independiente's reserves thrashed Lanús 4‑0 on the same competition day. Felipe Tempone scored the opener, Mirko Díaz converted a penalty, Juan Arrayago added a third before halftime and Josías Paláis headed the fourth. The match also saw forward Facundo Valdez suffer a left‑ankle injury and leave the field.

Both results boost the teams' chances of qualifying for the playoff stage of the Torneo Proyección Apertura.
