Godrej inaugurates new soap manufacturing unit in Malanpur

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated a new fourth unit for Godrej Consumer Products Limited in the Malanpur industrial area of Bhind district. The expansion project involved an investment of over 450 crore rupees.

With this new facility, Malanpur has become one of Asia’s largest soap manufacturing hubs, with the capacity to produce approximately 4,000 soaps per minute. The project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities for hundreds of local residents.

This marks the third major industrial unit to open in Madhya Pradesh within a two-month period, following a 1,500 crore rupee cement plant in Guna and a 3,500 crore rupee project in Shivpuri. The Chief Minister noted that the state is successfully converting investment memorandums into operational production, with total investments exceeding 10 lakh crore rupees taking shape across various sectors.
