Godsmack frontman Sully Erna announces new music for 2027

Godsmack frontman Sully Erna has confirmed that the band plans to release new music, potentially by the summer of 2027. The announcement was made during an interview at the Rocklahoma festival in Pryor, Oklahoma.

Erna stated that the band will finish their current busy schedule through the end of the year before taking a break to begin writing the follow-up to their 2023 album, ‘Lighting Up The Sky’.

The band is currently navigating a lineup change following the departure of longtime members Shannon Larkin and Tony Rombola, who left to stop touring. The current lineup includes Erna on vocals and guitar, bassist Robbie Merrill, guitarist Sam Koltun, and drummer Mike Mangini, who recently made his live debut with the group.
