Godwin Itotomi joins Stade de Reims on loan

18‑year‑old Nigerian centre‑back Godwin Raphael Itotomi has signed a one‑year loan deal with French Ligue 2 side Stade de Reims, which includes an option for the club to make the transfer permanent. The defender will initially be part of Reims’ youth and reserve structure, playing for the Reims Révélations/Éspoirs team after a trial period in which he featured against Paris Saint‑Germain U19 and Eintracht Frankfurt U19.

Itotomi arrives from the Grassrunners FC academy in Ogun State, Nigeria, where he captained the side. Reims will monitor his development during the loan before deciding on a possible permanent signing, giving the player his first experience of European football and providing the club with a promising talent for the future.
