Goethe-Institut celebrates 75 years of global cultural exchange

The Goethe-Institut is celebrating its 75th anniversary, marking over seven decades of global cultural cooperation and German language instruction through its network of approximately 150 institutes worldwide.

In Freiburg, Germany, the local institute has hosted over 150,000 international students since its founding in 1971. The center provides language courses, cultural programs, and accommodation, while expanding its offerings to include evening and weekend courses for highly qualified foreign professionals.

To support global learners, the institution provides extensive free digital resources. The ‘Deutsch für dich’ platform offers over 200 free exercises covering all proficiency levels from A1 to C2, featuring grammar, vocabulary, and interactive community elements for real-world practice.
