GOG adds fan-made Fallout New California mod to its store

GOG has made the community‑created mod Fallout New California available through its platform, allowing a wider audience to download and play it. The mod, first released in October 2018 under the name Project Brazil, provides a full‑length campaign for Fallout: New Vegas set in 2260, between Fallout 2 and New Vegas.

Developed by Radian‑Helix Media, the mod introduces a new map around Black Bear Mountain National Forest, a standalone main quest, multiple side missions, new radio stations, voiced dialogue, and eight possible companions. Players can join factions such as the New Californian Republic, the Enclave, a raider alliance, or a super‑mutant army, shaping the story through choices.

By publishing the mod, GOG is not releasing a new official Fallout title but is simply offering an existing fan project for easier access.
