GOG integrates OpenMW and Tamriel Rebuilt mods for Morrowind

GOG has integrated two major community projects for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind into its store, offering them as free, curated additions to the Game of the Year Edition. These include OpenMW, an open-source multiplatform engine designed to run the game on modern hardware and resolutions, and Tamriel Rebuilt, a massive community-driven mod.

Tamriel Rebuilt is a long-running project that has been in development for 25 years, aiming to expand the game's world by adding the landmass of the continent surrounding Vvardenfell. By utilizing the OpenMW engine, GOG aims to provide a smoother, one-click installation process, reducing the technical barriers typically associated with installing large-scale community mods.
