Goiasprev Pension Fund exceeds R$ 1 billion in Goiás

The Pension Fund managed by Goiasprev has surpassed R$ 1 billion in accumulated resources for the first time since its creation six years ago. Located in the state of Goiás, the fund is composed of contributions from state employees and investment returns, specifically intended to cover future pensions and benefits.

Created in 2020 with approximately R$ 8 million, the fund operates under a capitalization regime. These assets are legally protected and separate from the State Treasury's cash flow. Gilvan Cândido, president of Goiasprev, stated that the reserve is built to ensure the payment of future retirements and must be preserved for the linked beneficiaries.
