Goicoechea man fatally stabbed during altercation

A 24-year-old man, identified as Rony Andrés Cerdas Duarte, was fatally stabbed during an altercation at a gathering in Goicoechea, Costa Rica. According to police reports, the victim sustained three stab wounds to the chest.

During the incident, a 41-year-old woman surnamed Mayorga also sustained injuries to her arms and legs. Security footage captured the events, showing a dispute involving a man on a motorcycle and several individuals outside a residence near the Ricardo Jiménez Núñez clinic.

Witnesses at the scene have reportedly provided the name of a suspect to the Fuerza Pública, which is currently coordinating with the OIJ to locate the individual responsible for the killing. The crime scene remains under investigation.
