Goián celebrates century of Entroido with documentary premiere

The Tomiño Council is commemorating over a century of the Entroido de Goián with a special celebration on Saturday, August 22. The event features a full day of musical performances, traditional gastronomy, and various contests.

The highlight of the festivities is the premiere of the documentary “Entruido. 100 anos de troula” at the Plaza Pintor Antonio Fernández. Produced by Suso Pando in collaboration with the Entroido de Goián Festival Commission, the film reconstructs the centennial history of the tradition using archival images, documents, and personal testimonies from those who participated in the festivities across different decades.

The documentary serves as a collective tribute to the generations that have maintained the tradition, ensuring its continuity and adaptation to modern times while preserving its original essence.
