Goiânia advances plans for fashion productive pole

The Goiânia City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat of Development, Industry, Commerce, Agriculture, and Services (Sedicas), is advancing plans to construct a fashion productive pole in the Recanto do Bosque sector, located in the capital's Northwest region.

Sebrae has already invested over R$ 500,000 into the business project, which outlines operational models, governance, funding sources, and the families to be supported. Additionally, the State Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seinfra) has invested more than R$ 1 million in hiring and completing topographical surveys to prepare for the executive project and bidding process.

The initiative aims to support informal workers, micro-entrepreneurs, and small businesses. Senai will be responsible for a 12-month preparation period, beginning soon with training for an initial group of 120 people. Vice-mayor Cláudia Lira noted that the project could serve as a model for the sustainable use of fashion industry waste.
