Goiânia announces semifinalists for school nutrition contest

The Goiânia Municipal Education Secretariat has announced the 28 semifinalist recipes for the “Sabor que Educa – Excelência na Alimentação Escolar” competition. Out of 70 total entries submitted by food handlers from local schools and Municipal Early Childhood Education Centers (Cmeis), these finalists will move forward to the semifinal rounds.

The semifinals are scheduled for October 27, and November 10 and 23 at UniCambury College. Participants, working in pairs from the same educational unit, will have 90 minutes to prepare recipes that prioritize natural or minimally processed foods suitable for school routines. The final stage will take place on December 8. The top five recipes will receive cash prizes ranging from R$ 400.00 to R$ 20,000.00 per pair.
