Goiânia authorities conduct inspections on recycling and construction sites

The Goiânia municipal government has intensified its inspection operations to ensure urban order, public health, and environmental compliance across the city.

As part of ‘Operação Reciclagem’, authorities embargoed an irregular recycling establishment in Setor Central. The facility was found to be operating without the required location and environmental licenses and was previously suspected of receiving stolen goods. The city plans to clean the site to address unsanitary conditions.

In a separate integrated operation in Setor Serrinha, the Municipal Secretariat of Efficiency (Sefic), the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM), and the Municipal Secretariat of Traffic Engineering (SET) inspected construction sites. During this action, a construction company was fined for the irregular disposal of concrete, which caused the blockage of a storm drain and sewage gallery. Additionally, a service provider was cited for the improper transport of iron structures that exceeded vehicle width limits.
