Goiânia authorities issue traffic and healthcare updates

The City of Goiânia has issued a reminder regarding traffic regulations during late-night hours. Under a conduct adjustment agreement with the State Public Ministry, drivers are permitted to proceed through red lights between 11:00 PM and 4:59 AM to mitigate the risk of criminal approaches at intersections. However, the Municipal Secretariat of Traffic Engineering (SET) emphasizes that this permission does not exempt drivers from liability in the event of an accident, nor does it authorize speeding. Fixed radars continue to monitor speed limits 24 hours a day.

In healthcare developments, the Goiânia City Hall has approved a R$33 million contract for the transport of hemodialysis patients. The contract, awarded to JML 3 Soluções e Transportes, will span 24 months and is intended to serve 749 users. The agreement establishes a rate of R$8.36 per kilometer traveled, with an estimated monthly distance of 164,257 kilometers. This elective sanitary transport service is designed to move patients between designated boarding points and specialized clinics for scheduled treatments.
