Goiânia City Council approves bill for free taxi access at large events

The Constitution and Justice Commission of the Goiânia City Council has approved a bill that would grant taxis free access to venues hosting events with more than 5,000 attendees. The project, authored by Councilman Henrique Alves, aims to facilitate passenger pick-up and drop-off, improve urban mobility, and reduce traffic congestion around large-scale shows and cultural activities.

Following its approval in the commission, the bill will now proceed to its first vote in the Plenary. The initiative is intended to provide greater convenience and security for participants during large events, particularly at night or during periods of high public concentration.
