Goiânia construction firms launch awareness campaigns against violence against women

In Goiânia, construction companies are launching awareness campaigns to combat violence against women within the workplace. SIM Incorporadora has initiated a program using theater to educate workers on legal protections and rights.

This movement follows data from the National Monitoring of Violence against Women, which reported a 113% increase in femicide cases in Goiás during the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2025. The state of Goiás currently holds the fifth-highest volume of urgent protective measure requests in Brazil. Nationally, the Ministry of Women’s ‘Ligue 180’ service recorded over one million calls in 2025, reflecting a 45% increase from the previous year.
