Goiânia hosts diverse cultural events including music and theater

Goiânia is hosting a diverse series of cultural events throughout mid-September, featuring music, theater, and circus arts.

As part of the 4th Circuito Literário organized by Sesc Goiás, singer-songwriter Zeca Baleiro will perform a free concert at Teatro Goiânia on September 17. The literary circuit, which runs from September 14 to 20, honors poet Aidenor Aires and includes various workshops and literary activities.

Musical tributes to composer Estércio Marquez Cunha are also scheduled. The Goiânia Symphony Orchestra will hold a free concert at Teatro Goiânia on September 15 to celebrate his 85th anniversary. Additionally, bassist Sonia Ray will perform his works in Pirenópolis and Inhumas on September 18 and 19.

Other notable performances include the circus project ‘Cabeça de Nego em Gira’ by João Carlos Artigos, which arrives in Goiânia for the 21st Galhofada festival. The Basileu França Theater School will present ‘Curta a Cena’, highlighting female artists in the region, while actor Alexandre Lino will perform the comedy ‘O Porteiro’ at Teatro da PUC Goiás on September 18.
