Goiânia Mayor announces resumption of Casa da Mulher Brasileira works

Goiânia Mayor Sandro Mabel has announced the resumption of construction for the Casa da Mulher Brasileira. The facility, located in Setor Goiânia II, is designed to provide legal, psychosocial, and security services, as well as temporary housing and economic autonomy support for women experiencing violence.

Construction of the 3,600-square-meter center has faced significant delays since its announcement in 2020. The municipality previously terminated its contract with A&A Engenharia in late 2025 due to successive delays, after the firm had completed only 27% of the project. Following a new bidding process, a different engineering firm was selected for approximately R$ 9.56 million, a figure that includes a 7.89% discount from the original municipal estimate.
