Goiânia to host XZONE gaming and technology festival

The first edition of the XZONE – Edição Primo Games festival is scheduled to take place on September 5 in Goiânia, Brazil. Held at the Tatersal de Elite of the Parque de Exposições Agropecuário de Goiânia, the 12-hour event expects to attract approximately 5,000 attendees.

The festival focuses on gaming, technology, and geek culture, featuring activities such as a Game Jam, cosplay contests, K-pop, and gaming championships. Total prizes for the event exceed R$ 35,000, including a complete gaming setup valued at R$ 20,000 and several Honor smartphones.

Organizer Léo Chagas stated that the primary goal of XZONE is to foster the indie game market in the state of Goiás. The event aims to highlight the professional opportunities within the industry, which Abragames data shows includes 1,042 studios and 13,225 professionals in Brazil.
