Goiânia Vapt Vupt center expands biometric stations for new ID issuance

The Vapt Vupt service center located in Araguaia Shopping, Goiânia, has expanded its biometric collection infrastructure to facilitate the issuance of the National Identity Card (CIN). Through a partnership between the State Secretariat of Administration (Sead) and the Goiás State Secretariat of Public Security (SSP-GO), the number of service stations for biometric data has increased from 13 to 25.

This expansion aims to nearly double the daily service capacity to meet high demand. Currently, the unit processes more than 150 requests for civil identification documents per day, making it one of the busiest locations in the city. The biometric process includes capturing photographs, signatures, and fingerprints. The CIN is designed to gradually replace the former General Registry (RG) across Brazil. Citizens can schedule appointments for the service via the Portal Expresso.
