Goiânia Vice-Mayor to lead city during Mayor's international trips
Vice-Mayor Coronel Cláudia Lira will assume leadership of the Goiânia municipal government on two upcoming occasions this year due to international travel scheduled by Mayor Sandro Mabel. The Mayor communicated these agendas to the City Council on Thursday.
From September 5 to 9, Mayor Mabel will travel to Argentina for an official mission focused on exchanging experiences and public policies regarding solid waste management. Later, from November 18 to 24, he will visit Belgium and Portugal for institutional and technical visits related to solutions and structures for the MotoGP World Championship.
These upcoming trips will mark the fourth and fifth times Coronel Cláudia Lira has headed the executive branch during the current administration. The Mayor's previous absences have also seen the leadership temporarily held by the President of the City Council and the First Vice-President.
