Goiás coach confirms goalkeeper competition after defeat

Goiás coach Mozart Santos has confirmed a competition for the starting goalkeeper position following the team's 1-0 defeat to Juventude in the Série B. Mozart took responsibility for the loss, noting that while the players performed within their capabilities, the coaching staff must correct tactical errors.

The defeat occurred in the final minutes of the match when Juventude scored in the 89th minute. Following the result, Mozart addressed the return of goalkeeper Tadeu, who has recently recovered from a tibia fracture that sidelined him for over three months.

While Tadeu is a veteran leader at the club, Thiago Rodrigues has maintained the starting role during the injury period, appearing in 15 matches since May. Mozart stated that the starting position will be decided based on performance, noting that Tadeu will need to fight to regain his spot in the lineup.
