Goiás Education Secretariat releases guide for special‑education data in school census

The Brazil Ministry of Education published a new guide to identify and declare students in special education for the national School Census. The guide aims to standardize records, improve data quality and support planning of educational resources.

Goiás State Education Secretariat (Seduc) is directing all state schools to use the guide, citing that “the correct filling of the School Census is fundamental for students in special education to be properly identified in educational databases.” The document is available on the Ministry’s portal and is intended solely for educational planning, policy definition and resource allocation, while reducing inconsistencies in school reporting.
