Goiás federal highways see 4 deaths and 28 injuries in weekend accidents

A series of severe traffic accidents on federal highways in Goiás resulted in four deaths and 28 injuries over a single weekend. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), a total of 27 accidents were recorded between Friday and Sunday.

Specific fatal incidents included a motorcyclist in Anápolis who died after hitting a pedestrian and being struck by a truck; a head-on collision between a car and a truck in Itumbiara; a motorcyclist who lost control on a curve in Abadiânia; and a driver who rolled his vehicle into a ravine in Campo Alegre de Goiás.

In addition to the accidents, authorities reported 892 traffic violation citations during the period of intensified inspection.
