Goiás goalkeeper Tadeu sets appearance record amid 3-0 loss

Goiás goalkeeper Tadeu reached a historic milestone by becoming the second player with the most official appearances for the club, surpassing Ernando with 406 matches. However, the milestone was overshadowed by a 3-0 defeat against Novorizontino in the 31st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.

During the match at Estádio Jorge Ismael de Biasi, Tadeu missed a penalty opportunity that could have leveled the score before halftime. Goals from Rômulo, Robson, and Juninho secured the victory for Novorizontino, moving them into the G2 position. Following the loss, Goiás remains in 11th place with 42 points.

Amidst the team's difficult run in Série B, commentator Joãozão has publicly suggested that the club should consider rotating the goalkeeper position and testing talent from the youth academy.
