Goiás Government offers 900 free robotics and technology courses

The Government of Goiás has opened more than 900 free spots for courses in robotics, programming, and new technologies through the S.T.A.R.T. Program (Seguir Transformando Através da Robótica e Outras Tecnologias). The initiative is aimed at students aged 8 to 20 from the public school system and full scholarship holders from private institutions.

Applications are available online until September 27, 2026. To promote gender diversity, 50% of the vacancies are reserved for girls. The program is a partnership between the State Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti), the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), and the Tecnopolis Development Foundation (Funtec).

The curriculum is divided into three progressive modules covering topics such as automation, artificial intelligence, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printing, and augmented reality. Each module consists of 32 hours of instruction, totaling 96 hours for the complete course. Classes are scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026.
